The festival continued but we took it a bit easy Saturday. I had a nice breakfast at home. Berries are another favorite.

Then we headed off to Bumbershoot with me in the backpack. Such a handy contraption. I'm up and can see everything. And for fun I can smack Mom and Dad in the back of their head.

It was bound to happen, though. I crashed mid visit.

All in all, it was a great day 2.

It's my second year attending Bumbershoot, a local arts and music festival. Last year I was pretty little and mostly slept. Not this time!
I was practically part of the moshpit.

Then I hung out with Dad and Mom.

Dad and I shared some food. Greasy fries. Another first!

Dad came home early Friday for Labor Day weekend and we went to watch the salmon at the Ballard Locks. How do they climb a ladder without any feet?

Hungry heron.
I hung out on some of the crazy art.

Then I watched some boats leaving Lake Union. This channel is like a big tub where water raises or lowers, depending which way the boat floats.
And finally, for Mom, we walked in the gardens. See my cool red sneaks?

A new ritual lately is brushing my own teeth. It's really just a great excuse to chew on things but whatever makes the parents happy.

Food is good, especially squished between your fingers and smeared across your face.

We tried out the backpack so I wouldn't need to be in the stroller for Bumbershoot weekend. Fits like a charm.
We all went to the waterpark in Bellevue. Dad hadn't been there so we thought we'd show him the ropes.
First we needed sunscreen.
I like to curl up with a good book.

Hot summer days call for cool fruit. What better than watermelon, except when it gets everywhere.
