It’s midwinter break at our preschool so Max met up with some of his buddies at the zoo.

One of many attempts for a group shot. Herding cats, I tell ya'!

Roaring like a lion (or dinosaur) is a favorite of mine, so of course we must stop for a pic.

Next stop was the elephants, and another statue.

Crushing hard for the older sister of one of my classmates.
An impromptu playdate with some children from Max’s class.

Mom says it's never too early for men to learn their way around the kitchen.

I already know the most important skill in the kitchen.
A visit to a nearby park and some play time with my cousins.

Sydney and I racing around the track. She's crazy on wheels.

The helmet stays put, on and off the bike.

Dad and Uncle Paul even got in on the fun.

Snack break (still with the helmet).
Brunch with the family then a ferry trip over to Bainbridge Island.

Rope climbing 101

Still not quite comfortable with tunnels ...

King of the ... starfish?

Don't think I'd miss the bus is the gigantic children's mural.

A little music for my adoring fans

I am boy, see me dig.

I mean business
Mom and I met dad at the aquarium for a lunch date. I got to check out some of the attractions while we waited for him to show.

I had to humor mom with the jellyfish cutout

Playing with the fake octopus tentacles

The octopus was out and about for some great viewing

After lunch, we went on a playdate with kids from my co-op.

Penquins were our first stop

We sat to snack with the resident orangutans

An orb web in the children's Discovery Loop area

Waiting at the station for my first trolley ride downtown

A purple trolley on the way there

A red trolley on our return

A little gentlemen always helps others
There are so many things to do on this small island. We saw some of Waimeya Canyon. I slept of course. Then we were off to a laua where we saw all kinds of plants and some really cool birds.

Being packed around is the only way to see a canyon.

Another day, another beach. This really is paradise.

All kinds of things enjoy the beach. This monk seal was sun bathing while we enjoyed the day.

I went about my business, getting sand EVERYWHERE!

Dad and I tested the waters in a sheltered area safe for little ones like myself.

We ventured further, but Dad kept watch of those waves.

Our resort had an awesome Koi pond where we could help feed the fish every morning.

- I of course had to touch the Koi as well.

We headed to a nearby beach where I chased chickes for the first time! And I got my first scraped knee.

I quickly got over my injury and was sailing through the air ... with Dad's help.

Later outside the resort we hit the beach for some surf and sandcastles.

Dad and I pondering the waves.

I think scuba suits are cool.
